A New Perspective on Talent And What It Really Takes to Succeed

I used to consume endless content.
Books, Courses, Videos... all in the name of “preparation”.
Somehow nothing ever changed. I just couldn’t get myself to act.
“I’m growing so much”, I said, but my outputs with 22 years were the same as with 25.
0.
After countless contemplation (partly disguised as procrastination of course), I found out why.
Limiting beliefs.
Lets call out some of our dream killers:
- “I’m not talented enough”
- “I’m not ready yet”
- “Others are just more gifted”
Those beliefs kept me dabbling, quitting and jumping from one project to the next.
Which ended up in another round of dabbling, of course.
I know I am not the only one fighting this problem.
There are countless people out there, maybe even yourself, who instead of focusing on persisting, decide to give in and continue chasing the rush that comes from starting a new project.
And so it was for me.
Starting gave me the rush. But the moment it got hard - I was out.
I believe that most of the time, it came down to this one belief right here:
- “It’s just not my thing. I don’t have the necessary talent”...
I honestly believe that most of you guys have a similar thought pattern that is holding you back.
Instead of developing your skill by practicing and putting yourself out there - you do nothing.
You think you have to be an expert in order to start.
This is a huge misconception!
So, to spare you from more misery, let me share with you how I was able to get a serious mind shift that completely shaped my way of thinking.
It took me lots of anxiety, overthinking, and research to get to this gem.
I’m talking about the book “Mastery” by George Leonard.

What a masterpiece.
I’m calling it a masterpiece because this book gives you exactly what you need, to debunk your false beliefs.
This will get you going.
If you are sick of quitting every project you start - this book is for you.
If you’re wondering why others succeed, but you - this book is also for you.
The book starts by giving you a brief overview of where you currently stand in your journey.
Are you the dabbler, who only chases the high of starting a new project and quits once the enthusiasm goes away?
Are you the obsessive type, who gets a result but quits once he hits a plateau?
Or are you the hacker that tries to take every shortcut in existence, skipping the necessary steps of the process?
By the way, this guy also quits.
George Leonard talks about another archetype.
Someone that you should aspire to become.
The master.
The master is the only one who understands that life is spent on a plateau, and only occasionally, you will experience the high of real progress.
The crucial difference between the master and the others is that he understands, that staying on the plateau will eventually lead to another spurt.
It’s the consistency.
Look at the people you follow. Go back to the time they started and carefully analyse their content.
Can you see the significant difference in quality compared to where they’re at now?
This is what happens when you stay in the game, and you persist.
You don’t get discouraged by not progressing as fast as you’d imagined.
There are many more life changing insights that George Leonard has to offer, which I will share with you in the following days.
So make sure to stay tuned for more.
For now, trust me when I say, it will completely transform the way you look at life.
It will drastically transform how you look at people that have mastered a skill in any domain.
Do you think they are just naturals? That they were just born with the ability to be excellent?
What if I tell you that whatever you perceive as true, is not true at all?
It's an illusion that you created to make yourself feel better.
And you can become just like them....
With that being said, I deeply encourage you to give it a read.
What I give you here is a necessary tool to transform your life for the better.
The only reason you don’t succeed, is because you have not understood how reality works.
Imagine what impact you could have, if you finally did...
Your choice.
